Tea (BAG) Party

Protests against Washington spending took place in more than 700 US cities Wednesday. I had several invites to some of these events and did not go to a one I guess I wasn't thirsty. The bottom line is that we as Americans should not even have to hold such events, you would think that our Government would know better than to spend our money so ill responsible but that's not the case after seeing some of the recent BAIL OUTS you the ones AIG - $85 billion, Bear Stearns - $29 billion, IndyMac Bank - $8.9 billion, Fannie Mae - $100 billion, Freddie Mac - $100 billion, Washington Mutual Inc. - $1.9 billion and the list will go on and on when will it stop? Hell I wish someone would come and BAIL me OUT Please!!!!!!!!!!!!. You know I am a self employed Electrician I got laid off almost 3yrs ago and pursued the American Dream of starting my own business and what a struggle it has been, ups and downs day to day just barley scrapping by. Now I AM AT A STAND STILL, its pretty bad when you have to LAY yourself OFF not being able to keep ME on board is a real problem for the success of my business. I know that I am not the only one who is in this position (we are all being Tea Bagged) people are losing work and their jobs left and right, and I really feel bad for all of those who are going through what I am (I Thank God that my wife has a job). I just get so Frustrated seeing all the money going to waste on these big corporations who literally out spent themselves. Throw some MONEY our way to the working people then we will Bail Out the Country, we will pay off our debts, we will buy new homes, cars, and other stuff that we probably do not need, but we would definitely Stimulate the economy and keep the Money HERE. And that's ONLY MY OPINION. Sorry for the Vent Post.

Easter Pass me over Please!!!!

Well another Easter has come and gone, we have been hunting eggs since last Thursday. I haven't read the whole Bible yet, but I have been going to Church for a looooooong time I have yet to here a story about Jesus and the apostles having an Holy Egg hunt or the Great Easter Bunny comming to Jerusalem. As you can tell I am not into Easter that much, don't get me wrong I Love getting together with family and friends and Eating way to much (I wish we could do it more often) but the whole Easter thing is not for me. The kids like it though so I will go along for them. Emma and Tripp found several eggs I believe the final count was Emma 29, Tripp 22. oh I almost forgot to mention my fellow Blogger Brad he was Gracious enough to put me in his Blog so go check his out it's a lot more interesting than mine and he post daily unlike me. http://bradbrandt.blogspot.com/

After the our gathering at Standing Stone State Park (ahhh the memories) Tripp and I went home to take a nap while Melody(wife) took Emma(daughter), Mallie(niece), Eli(son), Matthew(nephew) to Cookeville to see the new Hanna Montana movie. We were actually in the movie Melody took Eli and Emma to a casting call in Nashville last year and Eli got a call back so we took 8 12yr boys back to Nashville to film the fair scene where Hanna reveals her secret to her home town. Eli says he saw himself in the movie he was right beside stage and got to touch Hanna's shoes. Pictured right is my nephew Matthew Montana (he is Hanna's stunt double). Also If you look closely in the back ground it's the money I could be saving with Gieko.

Yesterday was Easter so all the kids were dressed up for pictures, they Love to pose for pictures (as you can see). After Church we went out to my older sister's house for Easter lunch she cooked ham, green beans, corn, salad and rolls. It was a wonderful meal and the first time she has hosted an event in her new home, we had a Good time.(Thanks for invite Jamie). After lunch it was back home for some outside time the kids Love to be outside in our new yard (I do too). we rode the 4 wheeler, played on the play ground and Uncle Tommy bought us a new toy a 2 seat-er go cart, our kids have it made. Well that's about it until next time.

Great Weekend!!!!

WOW!! what a great weekend. Saturday morning we started off with a little Soccer I coach my youngest son's 3yr team (not a lot of coaching with 3yr olds, more like uncontrollable Ciaos) but they did really well and played hard for the whole hour we don't keep score (some parents and coaches do) and in the end I was told we came out on top so there.

After Soccer I decided to move the Trampoline and Play ground from the old house to our new house. So with my trusty 4 wheel drive I was able to drag everything up the hill through the field and to it's new home without any trouble. The kids were so excited to be able to play on their play ground and trampoline they were on it all day and night (the trampoline is the best money spent in a while they use all the time). After the play ground was in place I built a fire pit. I Love the fire pit their is nothing like a nice fire at night roasting marshmallows and hot dogs its very relaxing.

I also built a swing set for my Awesome UT swing that my Rockin wife made me for a Christmas present a few years back so I can sit, swing, relax and enjoy a nice warm fire (Life is GOOD).
After all that we decided to have a few people (about 17 in all) over for a BBQ, our first gathering in our new house it was a very nice evening. I went to the freezer and pulled out some Rib Eye steaks from the cow (kids named it Crabby Patty) that we killed back in October. My mom brought corn on the cob, baked beans and chicken. My little sister brought some more steaks, drinks and our friends brought more chicken and an apple crisp desert. My wife whipped up a salad, broccoli and cheese, some asparagus and french bread (what a meal we are so BLESSED). After dinner I put the fire pit to use we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed a wonderful fire and a nice evening. What a GREAT Saturday.

Sunday was just as busy we went to Church then had a fellowship meal following services. I got home and started to mow our yard. Eli my 13yr old son push mowed while I rode. He had a birthday party at 2 so I finished up the yard SOLO. Back to Church that evening followed by a trip to the Emergency room with my 3yr old son Tripp he had a rectal prolapse after he pooped and it wasn't pretty. But it fixed it's self so all we have to do know is monitor and Pray it doesn't happen any more. He was a little scared but is OK now got home about 10pm, I am done.
